Boiled Wool

Boiled Wool is the wool that Golden Green Imports uses to make its blankets. It is a technique that dates back to the middle ages. The selected merino wool blanket is woven into a specific pattern then boiled and steamed-ironed three times before cutting. The blankets during the boiling process is shrunk, and the boiling does not involve any use of chemicals. This process creates a soft felted wool that is 30% smaller than the original material and does not itch.
